North Park is one of 77 officially designated Chicago, IL community areas. It is the neighborhood north of Albany Park and below Sauganash. It is bordered by the North Shore Channel on the east, the Chicago River's North Branch and Foster Avenue on the south, Cicero Avenue on the west and Devon Avenue on the north. It is part of the 60625 zip code, which is known as one of the most diverse areas in the entire country. Most of the housing in the area was built in the early 1900s and consists of pristine single-family homes, multi-units, and some newer construction condos and apartment buildings.

The North Park Nature Center is 46-acre lush and green nature preserve and educational facility within the community. It features trails that run through woodlands, wetlands, prairie and savannas. The educational facilities contain a discovery room for children and adults alike featuring a hands-on table of natural objects and an array of interactive displays.

Also within North Park is North Park University and Seminary School, which is a Christian university that has over 3,100 students.

Both the Good Counsel Province of the Felician Sisters and the Evangelical Covenant Church are headquartered in this neighborhood.

The closest El stop is the Kimball station on the Brown Line.
