Little Village is located southwest of Chicago's loop, which is home to the largest Mexican community in the Midwest. Little Village is also the youngest community in Chicago. The median age in this area is under 21 years of age.

The Chamber of Commerce takes a very active role in Little Village, or La Vallita,and other community-based organizations are very involved in continually improving the neighborhood as well. This can be seen in the thousands of businesses make their home in Little Village, many of them family run and owned.

The area is known for its authentic Mexican cuisine. With over 50 area restaurants to choose from, you can feed your craving on almost every corner. Little Village also known for some of the country's most renowned muralists, which reside within its boundaries. Driving down the streets of this charming neighborhood you can see their work splashed across many of the community's buildings.

The 26th Street Mexican Day Parade, one of the nation's largest parades, makes its way down the streets of La Valillita every May and attracts close to a million spectators. Over a hundred area businesses, companies, and institutions are involved in this festive spectacle.
