Dearborn Park

As a sub-neighborhood tucked within the South Loop, DearbornPark reflects over 30 years of collaboration and development among some of the city's most prominent businessmen and architects. Their goal: to create avibrant residential community on the grounds of abandoned factories and railroad tracks. Today, Dearborn Park stands as a testament to their commitment and a gateway to the South Loop.

High-rises, a result of the initial development in the 1980's,stand along mid-rises and town homes, many new or rehabbed. Both young professionals and families are attracted to the area, not only for its homes but more so for the outdoor spaces created around them. Carefully designed, beautifully-landscaped parks boast playgrounds, swimming pools, jogging trails, and tennis courts, providing residents open spaces to relax or exercise, enjoy a picnic or read a book, all with the city skyline in the background.

Because it's situated betweenClark and State Street, with Polk Street bordering the northern end, Dearborn Park provides easy access to the eclectic restaurants and nightlife found in the South Loop. And, just a short ride away, the city's best museums and theater await.
