Archer Heights
Southwest of Chicago's Loop, Archer Heights is a growing industrial community tippified by it's affable working class inhabitants. First established along an Indian trail, later, like most of the communities surrounding it, Polish and Eastern European immigrants began to set up residency due to the great amount of available jobs in the industrial sector. Much of this eastern European influence can still be seen today in the family owned polka clubs,
restaurants, delis, and bric-a-brac shops that dot the streets of this blue collar community.

In the summer months one can enjoy the green and scenic nearby McKinley Park. This park houses a beautiful forest preserve with over 69 acres of picturesque trees, fields and lagoons, which is extremely unique to this area of Chicago.

Because of its proximity to the Orange line and the Stevenson Expressway, and its proximity to the downtown Chicago area, more and more people are migrating to this community.

Vintage brick bungalows and ranches are the main stay in this well groomed and maintained neighborhood. Residents take great pride in their homes, keeping them in pristine condition. Because of its industrial roots, some of the old factories are slowly being converted into new construction condos.
